Responsibilities:

Menu Planning: Design and create menus.

Food Quality: Ensure high-quality and consistent food presentation.

Recipe Standardization: Develop and standardize recipes.

Kitchen Management: Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff.

Staff Training: Train and mentor kitchen team members.

Purchasing and Inventory: Manage food purchasing and control inventory.

Budgeting: Develop and manage kitchen budgets.

Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections for food quality.

Menu Costing: Determine cost and pricing strategies.

Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments.

Event Planning: Plan and execute special events.

Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with regulations.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends.

Customer Feedback: Respond to customer feedback.

Leadership: Provide leadership and foster teamwork.

Our food + drink menus change seasonally, with a focus on local ingredients and suppliers. The Friendly dining room can host up to sixty guests, with an additional forty seats available on our sidewalk patio in the summer.

Our ideal candidate is mature, assertive, confident and kind when dealing with the public; works well under pressure and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm; thrives independently as well as in a team; is computer savvy; an excellent problem solver; can accommodate a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. Experience with opentable & touchbistro considered an asset. Hospitality experience is preferred, however we are willing to train the right person!
